danger area
(DOD, NATO) 1. In air traffic control, an airspace of defined dimensions within which activities dangerous to the flight of aircraft may exist at specified times. 2. (DOD only) A specified area above, below, or within which there may be potential danger. See also closed area; prohibited area; restricted area.
